    Two children were seriously injured in a single-car crash Wednesday night and police say the driver was DUI. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 7800 block of Hixson Pike. Sgt. Mark Kimsey said Kenneth Harris, 50, was driving his Chevy Blazer north on Hixson Pike. He said Harris left the roadway at high speed and the Blazer went airborne before slamming into a tree.

    William Cline, the principal of Colonial Heights Middle School, has been suspended for five days after being charged with DUI. The Tennessee Highway Patrol filed charges against Cline on July 31. Charges included DUI, violation of implied consent, open container and violation of light law.
