The state's DUI task force has been busy arresting suspected drunk drivers.

ATLANTA (FOX 5) -- Secrecy swirls around the arrest of an Atlanta firefighter who is the son of an Atlanta fire chief. The arrest of the young firefighter on a DUI charge comes on the heels of the firing of six Atlanta firefighters who recently failed tests for drug and alcohol use. Morse Diggs reports. The DUI Task Force makes 45 suspected drunk driving arrests Saturday, bringing the Holiday DUI Task Force's total to 290 since the Thanksgiving holiday.

Pasco County investigators arrested 46-year-old Donald Carlson of Holiday on charges of DUI. Deputies say Carlson drove his golf cart halfway across US 19, then came to a stop right in the middle of the road.
