GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A Greenville County deputy has been suspended after being arrested and charged with drunken driving over the weekend. Troopers said that David Morrow was stopped on suspicion of DUI at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning on South Pleasantburg Drive near Greenville Tech.

RAPID CITY -- Authorities made seven arrests for DUI and four arrests for drug violations Friday night in two traffic checkpoints by the Rapid City Police Department and the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office.

DUI CHARGES Joseph J. Scherer, 19, of 2483 Pleuchel Road, Sewickley Hills, just after 1 a.m. Sept. 20 by Center Township police after his vehicle hit a pole on Old Brodhead Road in Monaca. Scherer, who was treated by medics for bumps and bruises, had a 0.19 percent blood-alcohol level, police said.

A 25 year-old Brownsville man will be charged in the July fatal hit and run crash in which a Callery woman was killed.

NEWPORT-A mother of a Newport Grammar student was arrested Thursday on charges of DUI. According to police reports, Lt. Jason Ramsey and Patrolwoman Amy Elswick responded to a call made by Principal Sandy Burchette concerning a highly intoxicated woman attempting to pick up her child.
