Judge: Officer had cause to pull over DUI suspect

A driver with numerous DUI arrests on his record will face another drunken driving trial after a judge denied a request to drop the charges.

RINER -- A Virginia State Police trooper has resigned after being charged with driving under the influence in Montgomery County. Trooper Lance Todd Rosenbaum, 27, who worked in Roanoke County, turned in his resignation Monday, a day after he crashed his truck on Union Valley Road in Riner. Montgomery deputies charged him with DUI.
