A driver was arrested a fifth time in the past 10 months for suspicion of DUI. He’s been convicted on the four previous charges, said Capt. Dave Johnson of the Aberdeen Police Department.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man Thursday after he allegedly smashed into a gas station pump and a liquor store in Gardena. Police said Friday that Darnell Usher, 23, of Los Angeles, was arrested under suspicion of DUI following the collisions.

The driver of the pick-up truck involved in a traffic stop that turned into a deputy-involved shooting at the Treasure Coast Square Mall told investigators it was his brother's idea to start a fight with the deputy so the driver could flee and avoid a possible DUI arrest, according to an arrest report made public late Sunday night.
