    COLORADO - Law enforcement agencies participating in “The Heat Is On!” and “DUI Checkpoint Colorado” made 558 DUI arrests over the Memorial Day Weekend enforcement period - down 27% from 2007 when there were 766 arrests over the Memorial Day Weekend.

    On Friday May 23 the Fortuna Police Department conducted a DUI/driver's license checkpoint on the 200 block of North Fortuna Blvd. Ferndale police officers also assisted in running the checkpoint. Close to 300 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.
