  • FSU suspends WR Owens after arrest for DUI
    A Florida State wide receiver accused of driving drunk is the latest Seminole at that position to get in trouble. Police spokesman David McCranie says senior Rod Owens was arrested in Tallahassee on a DUI charge after blowing nearly double the state's legal standard of .08 on a breathalyzer early Sunday. The 22-year-old from Jacksonville was released from jail later that day.

  • Man Accepts Plea Deal In DUI Death Case
    A 27-year-old man accepted a plea deal Monday in a fatal September 2007 crash in Fort Meade and faces a sentence of 10 years in prison and 10 years' probation. Steven Spann pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter and DUI with serious bodily injury. Circuit Judge Donald Jacobsen scheduled a sentencing hearing for May 22.
