Nine people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during a four-hour-long DUI checkpoint last weekend, Franconia Township Police Department said.

The heat continues to increase through out the state of Colorado for DUI enforcement.

The Redwood City Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint July 2 in an effort to keep drunken drivers off the road. The checkpoint will take place in the 2500 block of southbound Middlefield Road, according to police.
