A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI Friday morning when Salinas police found him passed out after crashing his car into a pole with his six-month-old son in the backseat.

The Eureka Police Department conducted a DUI checkpoint on Fourth and Commercial streets Thursday, resulting in one arrest. Derrick Norris, 21, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and being an unlicensed driver.

A 25-year-old man was charged with DUI manslaughter early Sunday after driving the wrong way on Interstate 95, crashing into a family's car and killing the father, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
