Officers and agencies from Horry and Georgetown counties took honors at the fifth annual DUI Enforce

A Lemoyne man was arrested and charged with DUI and terroristic threats after being pulled over by police Saturday morning.

The Department of Public Safety will be conducting DUI checkpoints on April 3 and 4 as part of its “Impaired Driving National Enforcement Crackdown.”

The numbers are in after the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office driving under the influence enforcement between March 12-18 brought in 13 DUI arrests. Compared to five last year, the numbers made a slight jump.

The sobriety checkpoint held Friday in Sterling resulted in one DUI arrest, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday.

JEFFERSON COUNTY -- A jury finds a Mt. Vernon teen guilty of aggravated DUI, after he killed a man while behind the wheel in 2006. Steven Hanner, now 18, learned the verdict early Saturday morning. Hanner, who was 16 at the time of the accident, had six illegal drugs in his system at the time.
