DUI arrests rise over St. Patrick's Day holiday
The numbers are in after the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office driving under the influence enforcement between March 12-18 brought in 13 DUI arrests. Compared to five last year, the numbers made a slight jump.

Darien Police conduct DUI checkpoint, arrest 3
The Darien Police Department conducted a DUI Checkpoint on Friday night at 943 E. Main St. in Stamford, about a mile past the Darien line. The checkpoint was operated in conjunction with the Stamford Police Department , and is the first joint sobriety checkpoint the departments have hosted since entering into a non-emergency interagency agreement earlier this year.

Former Utah House Majority Leader Garn arrested in 2006 for DUI
Fox 13 News has learned that former Utah House Majority Leader Kevin Garn was arrested for DUI in 2006. Fox 13 has obtained police documents that reveal Kevin Garn was stopped outside the Red Lion Hotel in Salt Lake City on May 6, 2006. According to a Salt Lake City Police report, an officer was called that night about a "man down, unconscious and breathing in a car."
